About Bundaberg Computer Repairs

Bundaberg computer repairs was started with a simple goal; to give people the best computing experience possible. This meant fixing ploblems with a lifetime guarantee and finding solutions that would need far less maintenance than current offerings. The best solution I have come across so far is with GNU/Linux, an operating system that emphasises user freedom.

My first encounter with GNU/Linux was in 1999 with Red Hat. At that time GNU/Linux was still in its infancy, especially when compared to the growth it experiences today, and primarily used GNU/Linux for website and server application development.

Fast forward to 2004, at a time when a new distribution of GNU/Linux called "Ubuntu" was about to be released, touted by many as "the next Windows replacement". GNU/Linux—and indeed many free software projects, such as Firefox—began to grow exponentially. People had a real alternative to run their computer with.

Even though I focused on the website and server development features of GNU/Linux, its advantages on the desktop couldn't be ignored either. First I installed it on all computers at home, and then extended it to other family members, and eventually to friends and people who I repaired computers for. The GNU/Linux operating system was able to solve more problems itself than fixing a Windows installation in the first place.

I wasn't too far to call for support, and once I installed GNU/Linux on somebody's computer, I hardly recieve any calls for problems relating to it.
